What is Chelation Therapy?
The Chelation therapy is a solution to remove minerals, vitamins and especially amino acids . Through the biochemical action of EDTA (ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid) that it contains, it produces the removal of heavy metals and decreases the production of toxic products, such as the so-called oxygen free radicals, eliminating itself through the urine.
Chelation treatment eliminates toxic metals, with an antioxidant effect that revitalizes and slows down the aging process. Restores the elasticity of the arteries by decreasing the hardening produced by oxidation makes brain activity more fluid. Chelation therapy cost is low and it is an affective trearment.
The Chelation against Cancer
Lead, cadmium and mercury have carcinogenic activity due to the formation of free radicals.
The value of EDTA in cancer patients was corroborated in a study conducted in a small Swiss city, for 18 years and where the rate of death from cancer was evaluated in patients who received this chelation therapy. Two groups of people with very similar living conditions were observed, one group received chelation and the other did not. In the untreated group (172 people), the cancer death rate was 17.6%. In the one that received chelation (59 people), only one person died of cancer being its 1.7% rate. In other words chelation therapy with EDTA reduces cancer mortality by 90% .
Chelation, EDTA in Osteoporosis
The action of EDTA on the new bone formation is documented in several research works.
People undergoing chelation report significant changes in bone densitometry without taking products other than the nutritional supplementation they receive in chelation. And it seems that the calcium that EDTA removes from the arterial light, is used by the body to remineralize the bone. On average, the increase in bone mass in one year is 15%
Chelator and chelating agents
The deterioration produced by age also involves a state of generalized oxidation of membranes, body fluids and structures that disables the metabolic system and the functionality of the cells. The average life can be improved by chelation therapy .
- The researcher MI Lansing,showed that by adding chelating agents to the culture medium where certain primitive organisms live, the lifespan of these was ostensibly increased. The A. Tyler studied the survival of sea urchin sperm (whose life is very short) and amino acids added to water in living, thinking they were dependent on these nutrients; some of these amino acids increased the period of life but others did not; then the nutritional hypothesis was not adequate. Soon Tyler realized that the amino acids that improved the longevity of sperm had chelating activity and added to the water an amino acid that is not a nutrient, the EDTA . With this he increased the average life by 50 times.
- The Johan Bjorkstenis one of the researchers who best knows the biochemistry of aging. It is the discoverer of cross-linking ( protein cross-linking within cells ), a phenomenon that today is considered to be the main cause of deterioration due to age. It is a cross-linking of macromolecules, with the formation of protein bridges, which hinders and weakens biological processes and also produces a progressive insolubilization and immobilization of proteins, nucleic acids and other macromolecules. Heavy metals that accumulate with age favor the formation of these bridges between molecules. After studying this process exhaustively, Bjorksten states that he has only found two factors that have value to control this age- dependent deterioration: exercise and chelation with EDTA.
